5′-Nucleotides

Human breast milk naturally contains 5′-nucleotides, including CMP, UMP, AMP, GMP, and IMP. Researchers have reviewed breast milk nucleotide composition and highlighted these mononucleotides as naturally occurring nutritional components in early-life nutrition.

In addition, dietary 5′-nucleotides have attracted scientific interest for their role in infant nutrition, intestinal microbiota development, and immune-related nutritional support. For example, researchers have investigated how nucleotide supplementation may influence formula-fed infant gut microbiota. Therefore, manufacturers should evaluate applications and claims according to the intended market, finished formulation, and local regulatory requirements.

ZABT supplies five individual 5′-nucleotide products:

To ensure consistent quality from source to finished ingredient, ZABT uses its self-produced yeast-derived RNA as the starting raw material. Through enzymatic hydrolysis, purification, crystallization, drying, and other controlled processes, we manufacture 5′-nucleotides for food and nutrition applications. Moreover, ZABT manages product quality through its Quality & Research system and designs its production process to meet applicable requirements of the U.S. Food Chemicals Codex (FCC), Chinese GB standards, and relevant EU food regulations.

For U.S. infant formula applications, customers should evaluate finished-product compliance under applicable FDA infant formula regulations. Similarly, for EU-market infant formula and follow-on formula applications, customers should confirm compliance with Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/127 and other applicable EU requirements.

Adenosine 5′-Monophosphate Free Acid (5′-Adenylic Acid) is produced using yeast RNA as the raw material, through 5- phosphodiesterase enzymatic hydrolysis, separation, and purification.  Adenosine 5′-Monophosphate is colorless and white crystals and is mainly used in nutritional supplements and as a nutrition ingredient for infant formula.
